Home Improvement Loan Program
Neighborhood Housing Service of Southwest Wisconsin offers home improvement loans to qualified low-income households for assistance with major home repairs. All loans are in the form of a 0% interest, no monthly payment loan secured by a promissory note and mortgage. The loan payback is deferred until the home is sold, refinanced or no longer your primary residence. Repairs are limited to those needed to keep a home safe, healthy, sanitary and handicap accessible. See our list of eligible repairs via the link below.
As an added benefit to our home improvement loan customers, the Development Coordinator will prepare work specifications for your improvement needs; manage the bidding process, assist you with selecting contractors to complete the project and handle payouts to the contractors when the work is completed.
