Eligible Home Improvements

Work necessary to put the property into decent, safe, sound and sanitary living condition including but not limited to, the following:

Installation or repair of septic systems
Foundation repair
Insulation and storm doors
Repair or replacement of furnace
Replacement or repair of windows and doors
Roof repair and replacement
Electrical wiring and plumbing
Adapting home for use by a handicapped household member
Additions to alleviate overcrowding of bedrooms
Other necessary repairs as determined by NHS

Ineligible home improvements:

Deck or patio
Fences
Landscaping
Storage sheds and other outbuildings
Appliances or furniture
Remodeling for cosmetic reasons
Finishing of unfinished spaces (except to eliminate overcrowding of bedrooms)
