NHS’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center
NHS of Southwest Wisconsin was pleased to open its HomeOwnership Center May 2, 2003 as part of the celebration of its 20 years of service to the community. This HomeOwnership Center will help unlock home ownership opportunities for Richland County’s low and moderate income buyers and provide valuable rehabilitation assistance to current homeowners.

NHS’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center, located in the Park Hotel Senior Citizen Apartments at 213 S Central Avenue, in downtown Richland Center, WI, provides access under one roof to a wide range of services and training that will help customers find, purchase, rehabilitate, insure, and maintain their homes. Richland County’s NeighborWorks® HomeOwnership Center is one of seventy home-ownership centers being established through a nationwide pilot project of the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation and the national NeighborWorks® network. The NHS Home Ownership Center (HOC) is a partnership that includes local government, area lenders, the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, and Insurance Company contributors.
NHS of Southwest Wisconsin guides individuals and families through the entire homeownership process – from budget planning for homebuying, down payment and closing cost assistance, to homebuyer education and counseling. NHS is a HUD approved counseling agency for pre-purchase counseling, foreclosure intervention counseling and HECM (Reverse Mortgage) Counseling.
